Encourage students’ innate curiosity for the amazing creatures of the Great Barrier Reef and the North Queensland Wet Tropics with our hands-on approach to teaching and learning.

Our Marine Educators are reef and rainforest experts, constantly developing ways to engage and connect students with the living environment – to inspire them to value, conserve and make a difference for the future.

Guided School Excursions

Conservation through Education! Inspire and encourage students’ innate curiosity for the amazing creatures of the Wet Tropics Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef. Our guided education programs are designed for all year levels linked to the Australian curriculum, focusing on the key eco-systems and endemic species of Tropical North Queensland. Students will experience over 71 animal habitats, spread over 11 zones including:

Creeks and Streams
Freshwater River Systems
Flooded Waterways and Billabongs
Wetlands and Swamps
Tropical Rainforest
Forest Floor
Rocky Escarpments
Life in the Mangroves
The Great Barrier Reef
Dangers of the Reef
Depths of The Coral Sea

Educational Tours Include:

Expert wildlife educator for a 1.5-2 hour tour
Program designed for your group or year level linked with National Curriculum
Student Worksheet – Year Level or ESL
Hands on interactive experience at the Marine Touch Pool
Option to visit pre-opening to the public
